Irish classes in Athens

Fáilte! Buailigí isteach agus fanaigí tamall linn anseo ar bhlog Rang Gaeilge na hAithine!
Welcome! This is the blog of the Athens Irish Class
.

Is dream béag muid, Éireannaigh agus Gréagaigh, atá ag foghlaim an Gaeilge i bpríomhchathair na Gréige le cúpla mí anuas.

We are a small group, made up of Irish and Greek students, which started learning Irish in October 2006.

Is í príomhaidhm naranga daoine a spreagadh chun Gaeilge a fhoghlaim agus pobal Gaeilge a chothú sa Ghréig.

Our aim is to encourage people to speak Irish and to promote the language in Greece.

The classes are held at the Irish Institute of Hellenic Studies at Athens (Odos Notara 51a, Exarchia), by kind permission of the Assistant Director.

The textbook we’re using is “Irish: A Complete Course for Beginners” by Diarmuid Ó Sé (London: Hodder, 1993 or NTC/Contemporary Publishing Company 1994, ISBN 0340564903).

Má tá tú ag iarraidh páirt a ghlacadh sa rang seo téigh i dteagmháil linn agus fáilte.

If you’d like to take part in the class, please contact us by leaving a message or comment here.
